Apple Cider Vinegar Infusions Workshop
Stock your winter pantry with delicious infusions!
Registration Below! Cambridge Location Event.
Build community while working together to stock your pantry with traditional winter recipes using Apple Cider Vinegar to support your immune system.
All the materials, recipes, and instructions will be provided – just show up, chop, mix, pour, and take home beautiful creations for yourself and your family! Most ingredients grown naturally by Sara Brubacher Steinbrink; all others are organic and sourced locally where possible.
We will make:
- 1 pint Fire Cider
- 1/2 pint Four Thieves Vinegar
- 1/4 pint Sage Oxymel
Fire Cider, brought forth into the world by herbalist Rosemary Gladstar, is a warming vinegar infusion that is full of anti-microbial, circulatory stimulating, immune building kitchen herbs including onion, horseradish, garlic, ginger, peppers, turmeric and herbs. Sweetened with honey at the end, it’s a tasty daily addition to your winter health routine.
Four Thieves Vinegar, with a rich traditional story involving bandits and the bubonic plague, is a more aromatic blend of herbs such as rosemary, thyme, lavender, and more. Still anti-microbial and immune building, it is less heating than Fire Cider and preferred by some people (including myself).
Oxymels are equal parts honey and vinegar, making it extra delicious! Sage is traditionally used to soothe sore throats and when infused in an oxymel applies its antimicrobial properties directly to the site of infection.
Apple Cider Vinegar is a health promoting ingredient all on its own, supporting your digestion, metabolism, healthy gut microbiome, cardiovascular system, and more. Infusing ACV with additional herbs, fruit, and honey makes it even more delicious and more nutritious.
